we conduct research and development on useful tree breeding,
seedling raising and cultivation techniques.

We are connecting heritage trees and precious trees around Japan to the next generation with tissue culture technology.
Genomic selection breeding
We are developing trait prediction models for the selection of elite trees with the collection and analysis of genetic information from trees.
In the future, we aim to use the prediction models for the short-term breeding of superior trees.
Improving forestry efficiency through breeding and seedling raising technology
We are working to realize efficient mass production and planting of seedlings through the selection of seeds with high germination ability and the development of pots that do not damage roots.
We are also working to solve various issues at afforestation sites in Southeast Asia.
Research and development on urban greening
Develop outdoor and indoor greening technology that is difficult to grow plants. As a new value of greenery, we are conducting research on disaster prevention functions in urban areas and effects on people.
