As wood professionals, the Sumitomo Forestry Group utilizes wood, which is friendly to both people and the global environment, to build a unique value chain that ranges from forest management and forestry business both in Japan and overseas, to the procurement, distribution, manufacturing and processing of timber and building materials through a global network, and even to the provision of a wide range of services related to people's lives, including home construction.

Environmental and Resources Business

Based on the philosophy of "sustainable forestry" - planting trees, nurturing forests, utilizing them as resources, and then replanting what has been used - we are engaged in company-owned forests operations in Japan, forestry business in New Zealand and Southeast Asia, forest asset management businesses, and renewable energy power generation businesses.

Timber and Building Materials Business

We are engaged in distribution business of purchasing high-quality timber and building materials from Japan and overseas and selling them to business partners, as well as building materials manufacturing business both in Japan and overseas. We are also focusing on the overseas sales of products from our group companies.

Housing Business

We are engaged in wide range of housing-related businesses, including custom single-family homes business, renovations, rental housing, renewal and sales of pre-owned housing, real estate management and brokerage, detached housing for sale, and greening business.

Global Construction and Real Estate Business

We are engaged in medium- to large-scale construction and Real estate development both domestically and overseas, including single-family homes business in the United States.

Lifestyle Services Business

Our group is leveraging the synergies of the group, such as the construction technology and housing know-how we have cultivated in our housing and construction businesses, to provide an environment where elderly people can continue to live safely and healthily.
